Creating your family formal list can be tough- it’s a bit nerve racking thinking about family photos. After all, they are some of the most important photos of the day! Make sure that you have all of your photos listed out and ready for wedding day. Luckily, I’ve got it down when it comes to family formals. The trick is to be way over prepared beforehand!

Tips for Creating the List:

• List Each Combination Clearly: Write out each grouping in detail. For example, “Bride and Groom with Bride’s Parents: John and Jane Smith.”
• Include Names: Having names helps to quickly identify and gather people.
• Communicate with Family: Let your family members know when and where they are needed for photos.
• Assign a Helper: Choose a responsible and organized family member or friend to help coordinate and gather people for each photo.

Be Prepared

Having your list ahead of time will make the whole thing run smooth. Make sure to let your photographer know if there is anything sensitive that you should know when it comes to photos. You don’t want to leave out and detail. Use the example below as a checklist when creating family photo lists.

   • Bride and Groom with both sets of parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins.
   • Bride and Groom with both sets of parents and siblings.
2. Grandparents and Parents Photo

   • Bride and Groom with both sets of parents and siblings.
