When it comes to unforgettable weddings, my clients Alex & Brendon’s western day was truly memorable. From the cowboy hats to the sweet taste of Blue Bell ice cream, a Texas wedding is all about embracing the western flair and making lifelong memories. As a Dallas wedding photographer, I love capturing these unique moments that showcase the heart and soul of Texas and the personalities of my clients.
Every great wedding begins with stunning stationery, and a Texas wedding calls for something special. Think rustic, vintage-inspired designs featuring cowboy motifs, Texas inspired stamps, and handwritten calligraphy. These details set the tone for a fun and relaxed celebration filled with Texas pride. I am obsessed with Alex & Brendon’s wedding suite.
No Texas wedding is complete without cowboy hats! I love how beautifully the traditional black suit pairs with a black felt cowboy hat and boots. It is classic, and totally fit this groom! The western flair complimented the classic, timeless style of the sweet bride perfectly. I hope to be seeing more grooms embrace the Texas uniform in the future.
Indulge your guests with classic Texas desserts. Blue Bell ice cream, an iconic Texas treat, is a popular choice for a wedding cake alternative or a refreshing treat during the reception. Pair it with mini pecan pies—another Texas favorite—for a sweet, crunchy delight that will have everyone talking. This dessert table was so creative, and definitely different from most weddings!
What’s a true Texas wedding without some lively entertainment? I couldn’t believe Alex, one of my amazing brides, was riding a mechanical bull at her reception, overalls & all! A mechanical bull ride adds excitement and a touch of western adventure to your celebration, no doubt! Guests of all ages can test their rodeo skills, creating fun memories and fantastic photo opportunities that capture the spirited essence of Texas.
